How to install charging circuit on '1983 35hp Johnson

My brother bought a 1983 35hp Johnson that originally was a manual but had a starter added. It does not have charging capability. What is needed and how do you install charging equipment?

You just need to add a charge stator (coil) 0582412 under the flywheel and a rectifier 0581778 that fits into the bracket on stb side.
