Yamaha 4 Stroke Water Pump Issue?

Hi,

I have a 2004 Yamaha 4 stroke and ever since day 1 I cannot use the rubber ears to supply enough water to the motor while running to get the motor to stream water from the water pump. I have used a giant tub where the water level is about half way up the motor and it begins streaming. Pain in the butt! And my tub has now bit the dust. I'm getting ready to sell my boat and would love to get it running without looking for another huge tub. Do I have any issue with my water pump? Any input would be appreciated! The motor only has about 120 hours on it.

Water pump?, Lack of water volume possibily?

Even after launching the boat into the water, the motor does not stream water until I increase the rpm's and then it starts streaming and then all is fine. Water line clogged? Water pump issue? Any advice would be appreciated!
