2000 5.0L merc new manifolds, elbows, and lower shift cable.......$1550, all new merc parts, big problem getting lower cable out, 1.5 hours extra labor.

Vinny, Been here...Hopefully, bellows were replaced as well. On my 5.0 the shift bellow had cracked, allowing salt-water into the shift linkage, eventually couldn't get to shift into reverse. I had 1-hr additional labor, as they had to drill out the end of the cable on the shift linkage...
