New member. I have a Volvo Penta 2002B with an MS2B-L gear. Damaged gear necessitates replacement. Does anyone have any experience with switching from an MS2 gear to Hurth/ZF? Bell housing, coupler, rear mounts, etc. need to be changed. I bought a very healthy engine, used, with a sick gearbox to re-power my boat that was still running her original Atomic 4.
Or does anyone have an MS2B-L gear that they could part with? 2.6:1 is preferred, but 2.3:1 will work, as I have not re-propped the boat yet.
