"Have a 2003 130 4-stoke, just took out of storage, getting ready for the season. Starts, and runs fine but the alarm sounds after about 10 seconds of running. The baterry light is on indicating a charging issue. Battery is one year old interstate, added fluid to it and charged it,still alarm goes off. All the fuses are good any ideas?"

"You need to be absolutely sure that your battery is good. You should have it load tested. I do not know where you are located, but a good auto parts store should be able to test it for you.

You said you checked all fuses...did you check the 90 amp fuse in the black plastic housing. The housing is approx 1 x 2 x3/4 inches. You have to take the cover off. It could have been blown if you even for a brief second, touched your battery cables backwards. Check page 92 of your owner's manual for a picture. If you can not find yours, click here to download for free http://marine.honda.com/pdf/manuals/31ZW5606.pdf

If it is blown, there should be a spare in the cover of the fuse housing.

If all that is good, you may have a bad regulator in your alternator.

My money is on the battery or the fuse.

I hope it turns out to be simple. The 130 is a good engine."
