Yama 2001 150 hp oil leak

2001 Yama 150 leaking oil from small reservoir on the engine under cowling. Found where it looks like it's running from the rubber cap w/wires on top of reservoir. Any suggestions?

"Found previous post where someone had same problem and it was suggested that the oil was leaking from top of reservoir when motor was trimmed up. I tried this w/cowling off, trimmed motor all the way up where oil was touching the rubber top piece and no leak??!! I know this is where the leak is coming from because you can see the old oil dried onto the reservoir where it came from under this cap and ran down. Any suggestions would be appreciated."
 
It is possible the level senso

It is possible the level sensor in the top oil tank is not working and the pump in the main oil tank isover filling the top tank
