"Hey all,

does anyone know how the water circulates in 60ESL70D Johnson?

Is it kind of a "closed loop" with a small pee-hole in the lower gear case? So that once the cooling lines are full the same water (minus just relieved off the pee-hole) circulates through the engine?

I'm just trying to understand what I see. I'm a novice at this.

Thank you."

"it comes in on one side,..fills the block,..when warm enuf, thermo opens, and allows it to exit,...i think ,there r a cpl of bleed holes on that blk also...but thats the jist...of it..u should get a mist,..of wtr out of the exhaustt rel holes,warm,..at idle...later 3 cyls,..really flowed the wtr out of there at high spd..."
