BF 225 overheat alarm sounds w

BF 225 overheat alarm sounds when it idles for more than 20-30 sec. I have removed thermostats and swapped sensors from one engine to another and still the same. can someone help?

"Three things come to mind. (1) Water intake screens need to be removed and cleaned. (2) The water pump body (where the impeller fits) is warn and at low speeds, it is not generating enough pressure. (3) you have a leak or loose fitting in the water tubes, likely in the lower end where you cannot see it.

How old is engine? How many hours? Salt water or fresh? Does the engine have a shaft extension?"

"the water pump body is new,I replaced the whole assembly. Intake screen area is clean. 1250 hours,03 model,no shaft ext.and salt water use. Thanks again for answering."
