I have a 1988 Searay Amberjack

I have a 1988 Searay Amberjack w/ twin 4.3Ls with 1200 hours each. I plan to rebuild the engines but it's been years since I've torn into a rebuild project. In the process of sorting out the fact from rumor I came across this tidbit: I've have heard there is a design flaw in the block that allowed the head gasket to blow causing coolant to be sucked into the front cylinders. I'll take any recommendations on the rebuild as well. Thanks in advance.

Once the intake has been removed, inspect the gaskets for any signs of breakage or leaking as seen below. This picture also shows how easily the coolant can enter the valley of the engine and mix with the engine oil when the intake gasket leaks.
