Need battery replacement for a 1997 70 hp Evinrude

"My battery is absolutely dead but I can not read properly the amps on it for a new one for my Evinrude 70 no electric trim (S/N 4447417). Can you tell me, please, how many amps I need for a new 12 V. battery? Maybe in the 60-80 A range?

JWBMarine's figure refers to the Cold cranking amps (CCA) your 60-80 guess is the battery capacity in ampere-hours (Ah)

The CCA figure is the one that is more relevant to a starting battery but a starter battery of around 70Ah should give you the 500CCA he recommends.

I live in Canary Islands, subtropical zone, 28ºN 14ª W. Wel, I´m going to pick a 76 Ah and 560 CC battery for 70 Euros. I just removed the old battery today and when you balance it, sounds like a river running inside. I think it can have two or more cells broken.
