    "Could someone please advise what actual symptoms would be apparent if there was a minimal amount of water in the fuel tank, and small qtys were running thru the motor. weve had 2-3 weeks of 30+ deg weather here in qld aus and I thinks this may be the prob with my rig( intermit engine stall) Thanks in advance..."

    In my experience any water would collect in the bottom of the carb bowls. Try removing a bowl plug and drain the fuel into a small container and look for it.
