I just got an old 72 johnson 2

I just got an old 72 johnson 20hp motor.The guy said it ran about a year ago.Its not getting any fire.I dont know where i should begin and what to check first

"pull the flywheel,and ck the coils.for cracks...while u r in there,..inst new points/cond...clean the points and dry well,...w/alcohol.set at .020....a service manual,is well advised.if this eng,has a kill sw on the front,..disconnect it and test,prior,to the above,but a good tune up,is never a bad thing."
