"I took my port side H/E today and the tank is separated/broken from the bracket. There's no damage, they're just not attached. I think it's been like this for a while and the hoses were holding it in place. Even like this the weight of the tank was still supported.

How would you guys fix it? It looks like someone (maybe when new) used some type of epoxy or adhesive.

It's not welded to the tank is it? Could I use something like 3M 5200?

"I had mine off only a few weeks ago and I don't recall BUT I THINK they are brazed to the metal bracket. The tank is copper and that 1/4" thick bracket is steel. With all the heat and vibration, I think this is your only option. Those other things will not hold up at all."
