Hello...

I am playing around with a 1954 7.5 hp Fleetwin project motor. I can't find spark plug wires for it. One is about 16" long and the second is about 26" long. Are they available? Could not find the length on marineengine.com. Do I buy a kit and make my own? Any particular specs for the wire if I do? Thanks!

You can get a kit and make you

You can get a kit and make your own. Make sure the wires are NOT graphite core. Also that they are long enough so as not pulling when working the throttle but short enough so not catching on moving parts. Dan Gano at ganotech.com can make you up a set and also has other NOS parts available for your motor.

make sure you get non resistor

make sure you get non resistor type wires for that old outboard its ignition is not very hot
resistor type wires will change spark amperage

"From a BRP dealer you should be able to get it 'by the foot/meter'.
As mentioned above, no silicone or resistor wire, and most definitely not an old auto copper core wire!"
