" I am possibly in the market

" I am possibly in the market for a new motor. I have a 20' Grady white walk around w/ a Johnson 120HP. It is not fast, and is a gas guzzeler - but she moves the way I need her to. I have been thinking of a Suzuki 4 stroke (140HP).

Mechanically, and in terms of quality what is your opinion of this motor?

And, will it move my Grady comparably or better/worse than my present motor ?

" I don't know for sure, but I think you're underpowered with that 120. What is the sticker capacity for your boat? I would think that you could get at least a 175 on there. 4-strokes are quieter, cleaner, and significantly more fuel efficient. On the other hand, you will probably lose holeshot, and compared to a 2-stroke of the same HP, you will probably also lose top end speed. Also, think if you want to do oil and filter cahnges every 100 hrs. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. "
