" can't give you to much info as to what you ask for , the elgin is mentioned several times in the "Old Outboard Book" by peter Hunn. as far as I can tell it was manufactured sometime around 1957, I cannot find #mn571-59731 however I suspect it is a 7 1/2 hp. I do know that it was built by WestBend Aluminum Company for Sears. Point gap setting .020" Most models use 1/2 pint of oil per gal of gasoline. "

I have a Sears 7.5 motor and my model number is 574-59910 and my serial number is 6800730-1241. I was wondering if you know where I can get a prop for it.
