" Does anybody know the bolt size for a head bolt for a 1979 85hp. Im trying to find out the length, width, and pitch. Hopefully somebody knows and can help. Thanks "
 
"Dakota.... OMC part number is

"Dakota.... OMC part number is 307267. Hex head is 1/2". Length of shank (underside of head to end is 2-1/4". Thread size is 5/16x18. Thread length is 1-1/8". Approx cost is around $3.00. How many do you want?(grin)
