"Try and store it in a place that is not damp all the time with restricted air flow.I cover mine (cuddy) I have a few vents in the cover and use the desiccant bags to try and avoid it,I also throw in some dryer sheets and moth balls, and check on it a few times while stored.

The dryer sheets and moth balls. That is new to me. Could you expand on this? What function do these items perform in a stored boat? You have my interest.

"The moth balls keep out bugs mice and other unwanted wire type chewing critters, also some insects.

the dryer sheets, I use bounce, keeps out other insects and most important to me spiders.

the moth balls I leave in the cardboard box and poke holes with a screwdriver in one side, then put them in a glad disposable container.

Look on line for closet formaldihyde bags. We used them in SE Asia to kill mold and mildew. Just hang 1 or 2 in the boat; nothing likes the odor and it airs out in minutes.
