Hey guys I was wondering if it

Hey guys I was wondering if it is normal on my Merc 200 Saltwater for there to be a little bit of a sheen from the exhaust in the water. I noticed it the other day while at my marina with the engine idling.It wasn't steady but more like a drop here and there from my exhaust port not the pee hole. Is this unburnt fuel or do I have an issue? Thanks in advance

"That's normal - your model is a little more effient than a slightly older version would be, but you still easily lose a high percentage of your gas/oil mix right out the exhaust (outboards are just plain hogs when it comes to gas).....

You are living testimony however, to why some lakes are going "four stroke" only..."
