"can the wrong grease cause a coupler failer, enigne alignment ok, splines on drive shaft ok, u joints new, and greased, gimball bearing ok and greased, splines worn thin and pointy in coupler, any suggestions"
 
"They do not last for ever and

"They do not last for ever and depending how hard the boat is used, how heavy it is, etc etc etc..

It is what it is and it wore out....."
