"I have the SX out drive, I have every thing loose but can not get the steering arm off to remove the gimbal ring. My manual said to "Position a steering arm puller (# 3854361) over the 2 dowels inside the arm and then thread in the removal bolt. Tighten the bolt slowly while holding the gimbal ring; when the ring comes free, remove the tool and the steering arm." I don't have this puller, but the dowel holes are Not threaded nor go all the way through the arm, are they just spacers to protect the 4 studs, and how would this pull the arm for removal?
