"I previously posted about this motor stalling when put in gear. I followed all the normal stuff, rebuilt and cleaned the carbs, Replaced spark plugs, Checked spark on all 3 cylinders - all electrical and fuel components seemed ok.
I kept getting erratic readings on the compression so I followed some advise rec'd on this forum and pulled the head. What I found was the pistons were REAL loose inside the cylinders and the cylinders were worn oval-shaped. The bottom piston also looked like it swallowed a handful of gravel while running.
Long story short - a complete teardown reveals worn bearings on the crank, and wrist pins, also the motor needs to be bored out (it's too worn to hone).
So thank you all for your help and suggestions... Now can anyone recommend a reliable machine shop in central FL that can bore this engine for me?"
