Hi there i have 1953 Johnson 1

Hi there i have 1953 Johnson 10hp outboard motor that my grandfather gave me I have a few question i know the water impeller needs to be replace Iam just wondering whats involved in putting a new one in some people tell me its not that hard second i need to clean the carb out just wondering if there is any gasket in there that should be replaced and if so where can i get them

"I beleave the power head has to be removed to drop the lower unit. You might have to go after market, but parts are still availabe for your motor. It would be to your best intrest to get a factory manual for your engine, Try E-bay or Ken Cook."
