"I'm getting a sheen of oil from the boat. No visible leaks anywhere - l/u or motor. All fluids are full with no visible drop in level. Could I be blowing oil out through the exhaust? Source?

Nothing visible in the bilge (clean). Problem is only visible when it's in the water and running (and sitting still, like in a marina). All the fluids look good so far."
 
Are you sure it isn't gas?

Are you sure it isn't gas? Lay a paper towel on the sheen and lay it in the sun until dry; put a weight on it to hold it in place. If it's oil then it will be on the towel; gas won't be.

"Well that's an interesting thought - actually, I'm not sure. I just assumed it was oil. Next time I get the "sheen", I'll try that."
