"I have a 2003 60hp Mercury efi outboard which has recently started sounding 6 beeps when I turn on the ignition. The motor starts and runs without problems and the alarm stops when the engine is running. Has anyone any idea how I approach this problem, please? The nearest dealer is miles away so I would like to eliminate the obvious before taking the boat in for repair."
