"Have a Johnson 150 HP, Some spark plugs have fire/hit some don't. Mod#VJ150SLESB Has set up for 2 yrs w/out running, own my own business, no time. Would it be worth the $150 for a powerpack vs taking it to someone who will charge $150 to tell me my problem?"

"Carbs are putting gas into cylinders, its certain plugs that are not getting spark energy, new plugs. Been told its most likely PowerPack since two(2) of the plugs are firing when trying to start. Any other suggestions?"

"Jeff please take Joe's advise on this, Outboards are not like cars getting it to start is one thing, not having it work correct is another, the darn thing will self destruct itself.
For example you install a new pack it starts but because of a clog carb you will fry the motor.
See Joe's 30 plus years tells him clearly the carbs is fubar and needs to be cleaned and examined it is crucial you do this first.."
