"I have a boat that the interior needs to be gutted so I am thinking of selling the complete engine, an AQ170, and outdrive, an A/270. Is it worth the time and effort? Is there any interest out there?

"Take a look at ebay motors and craigslist to get an idea of prices. The carbs, spark arrestors, fuel puymp, seawater strainer, and other components are worth some money as is the gearbox and possibly the lower end of the drive. Not sure if there is much interest in the straight six itself but if someone has one, they might want to have a head and block available. I think it would be worthwhile to at least list it for awhile. It's getting tough to get parts for these old beasts."
