"I have a 1985 Suzuki DT65 that I was going to rebuild, but have just bought another boat. Would make a good rebuild project as there is little wrong with it other than it sat for 17 yrs.
I fired it up prior to stripping it down (3 weeks ago) & everything was in working order, other than needing a good clean up & a fresh set of gaskets, that ANd I wanted to check the crank condition etc. The power head is in VGC cylinders are VGC. Carbs need O-haul. It had done very little hours. Waterpump needs new impellor, gbox all good.
Half the work is done for you, it just needs putting back together. I have investigated the parts cost to put it back together properly they come to £450GBP also need a few studs removing.
Either that or I will break it for spares.
