"That's a big tank to clean. One way is to pour in two gallons of concentrated degreaser followed by 40-50 gal. of extremely hot water. Run the boat off of an aux. tank 30 mins. out in rough water to agitate the mix. Wait 30-60 mins., add a defoaming agent to the tank and agitate the mix for another 30 mins. When it cools down pump it out. Rinse well and dry w/a few gallons of lacquer thinner or alcohol agitated in the tank and blow out the vapor w/a shop vac. set on blow thru the gauge sender hole. Seal around the hose to keep fumes out of the bilge. Remove the fuel filler cap so that the fumes will exit out away from the bilge. Keep fire extinguishers handy and don't do it alone."
