they are the ones that close off the 'holes' on the 'outsides' of the heads that you can still poke your finger into.

and was talking to the mechanic, and he said to bring each cyl to tdc and then adjust rockers no tork, book says to tork them to 40 ft lbs. Is he shade tree or what thanks Paul."
