"I am trying to purchase a fuel pump for my 83-84 454 crusader. The local auto store has a universal marine fuel pump. They just don't know which one to use because they come in 4 psi, 5 psi and 6 psi models. Can someone tell me what psi pump I would need?"

"4 psi is plenty, unless you plan to run WOT continuously.

Make sure it has the "sight tube" hose barb, for the tygon tube running back up to the carb.

You'll also want to verify the inlet and outlet positions, the outlet being critical if you still have the stell line going to the carb."
