"I've got a 1995 johnson 1
"I've got a 1995 johnson 112spl on my wellcraft. On our second trip out, the boat wouldn't fire up. I disconnected what I think is the kill switch wire the single wire connector on the engine (Black/Yellow) which goes into a small box on the port side of the motor and fired right up. Now, the ignition would not kill the engine! had to re-connect the wire to kill it. I tried by-passing the kill switch. Don't really know how to. Could this be in the ignition switch?
Also, not sure if batteries are charging properly. I hooked amp meter and only charging about 2 amps at battery. tried metering the rect. seemed good using diode tester/ohm meter.
any help would be great.
Thanks"
