Mercury water pressure hookup

Just bought water pressure gau

Just bought water pressure gauge for my 1997 Mercury 40 hp. Where on the motor do I connect the sending unit or brass fitting(s)? Thanks
 
not sure but i hooked mine up

not sure but i hooked mine up to the plastic tube at the back of the lower leg and ran the tubing to the helm connected up the wires for lighting and was done. but i have heard of then being put inline with the water jet thru a 3way fitting inside the engine and then run it to the helm as well.

There is a pipe plug on the water cover near the top cylinder. It can't be anywhere else.
