Overspeed on 50 hp Johnson

Need some advice in that I hav

Need some advice in that I have a 15' Whaler with a 2001 50 hp Johnson with a 17" prop which is turning 400 rpm over the 5500 redline. It is actually 2" higher pitch than the standard prop so I am concerned that perhaps there is a problem. Engine runs great and I am confidant in the tach.

Ideas appreciated.

Actually could only find one 19" prop that would fit and I have ordered it but that will still keep me on the high end of the range. That okay?
