"I just did a valve job on my 1984 5.7 260 horse,
and it runs great. I just need to know what the timing specs are for my thunderbolt ignition.
what should I set the timing at, at idle fully, warmed up? Thanks in advance."
 
Set it @ 8 deg. BTDC w/engine

Set it @ 8 deg. BTDC w/engine at idle; 650 RPM in gear. Tie the boat to a dock to set the idle in gear or set it at 700 on muffs; close enough.
