57 Volvo Penta Throttle linkage needs adjustment

MY port engine throttle is ver

MY port engine throttle is very tight. Both engines were like this from the day I bought it. Stbd engine is too loose. I cant figure out how to adjust the friction lock if there is one for either engine. Any ideas?

I cant find a way to access it. Doesnt look like there are any screws holding the box in place. Is it clipped on? A screw diver to pop it off? I dont want to break it. Your refering to the box at the base of the Throttles?

"That's where it should be. Unfortunately, there are many models and I have no clue which one you are using. Some of them (Yamaha) have a screw on the outside that you can use to do the adjustment. If what you have in your boat is original equipment, perhaps a call to the boat manufacturer would do the trick?"
