"1979 Mercruiser 170/470; Suspect the fuel pump diaphram is getting weak - is there a rebuild kit available or am I living too far in the past? We used to do that job frequently in the fifties on old Fords, etc. I got the Sierra number 18-7282 as the pump but that sucker is $125 and I'm looking for a cheaper solution.

OR is there a auto/truck diaphram available that will fit this pump? Thanks for any leads. DF"
 
I doubt you'll find a kit

I doubt you'll find a kit for it...too many lawyers for most to even consider making one.

You could always take it to your local parts store and see if they can match the flange number to a kit they may have.

Let us know if you find a cheap but safe solution.
