Is it hard to replace a steeri

Is it hard to replace a steering cable? I have a 1986 2.5l 120 hp mercruiser I/O. The boat is a 1986 195 seasprite with a rack and pinion teleflex steering

"there's a big nut at the engine end, that needs to be loosened and at the very end of the cable you'll need to remove the bar that attaches to the steering lever.

then at the steering wheel end, there's a quick disconnect clip that you slide into the housing along the parallel with the cable, then you can turn the wheel and it will push the cable out."

"sorry, R&P has 4 bolts to unbolt the rack and remove that end without removing the cable from that end."
