"Just wondering what years, and if any Johnson, or OMC powerheads are compatible with a 1981 evinrude 70 hp 3 cylinder. This one has a bad crank, scored block, and all three rods are damaged and I'm looking for a good core or used running motor. Thanks for any information."

"many yrs,should,bolt right on... go to shop.evinrude.com look up ur eng,then,start comparing,the pwr head gasket...u would not want to go to far back,as there was a shifting diff,but i cant rem what yr/yrs that was..."
