Motor is a 2007 Yamaha 90TLR. I have noticed that when shifting into reverse (from a idle of course) my motor jumps up slightly from its down operating position. Going into forward is no problem of course. I know in outboards I have had in the past you could lock them down so they didn't kick up when going in reverse and either leave them that way or flip a lever and free the lower unit so it would kick up if you hit an object. I though the newer motors all did that automaticly when you shifted them. Bad part is I don't remember if it did this when I first got it or not. Age you know
. I attempted to see if there was a locking system on this motor or not. Can't find anything in the material I have. Thx.
