"Hello all,

"Hello all,
I have a 1982 Evinrude 115 with the OMC white control box.
I have a fuse panel, that has the wires going to the trim pump and back up front to the controls.
I want to add a tilt switch to the back of the boat near the motor. My question is, which terminals in the fuse block do I use to control the trim up and down functions ?
Do I switch a ground to those terminals, or switch a hot to them?
Hope this makes sense..
Thanks for the help !!
Daniel"

"check your harness at the eng

"check your harness at the engine, there may be extra leads there for a remote switch(are the relays mounted to the engine/or are they located elsewhere?"

the relays are mounted in a bl

the relays are mounted in a black "fuse box" with a red in line fuseholder.. They're mounted right in front of the engine on the transom wall.
It would be mighty convenient to just tap into 2 wires in that fuse box and put a switch back there.
I know that 2 cords coming out of that box go to the tilt-trim unit.

"thats area you want to splice
