"OK I'll be cruising along at 3400 rpm just fine and then the engine seems to lose it's brain. It starts to sputter very bad. If I back off to 2500 RPM all is well. Anything above 2500 and it sputters again. If I stop, pull the pin and rev in neutral, same thing. If I TURN THE KEY OFF, re-start up again (like an electric reboot), all is well for a few minutes and then it will do it again. The boat has electronic ignition and I suspect something in that area. Any ideas?"
