I am going

I am going to use my 1972 Chris Craft Seasport 16 in Salt Water for the first time in its' life and want to convert the original cooling to a Salt Water cooled Fresh Water Heat Exchanger so that the engine retains its' cooling by Fresh Water.
This boat will never see Fresh Water again.
My question is, how much water flow and pressure does the OMC Stern Leg Pump deliver, and what is the passageway of this water from the Leg to the Engine?
For the life of me, I cannot see any way that the water gets delivered between the Leg and the Intermediate Case as there is no hose, or any other passage that could transfer water.
I intend to build my own Heat Exchanger out of Stainless steel as getting one from USA would be way too expensive.
