Turning the key clicking no start 1990 57L

Replaced the key ignition swit

Replaced the key ignition switch on the dash - no change. Turning the key back and forth will eventually kick the starter. Thanks in advance for your help.

Could be - I know enough to be dangerous on this stuff. What would be the next part to swap downstream of the ignition switch?

"1) go directly to the starter , short the yel/red wire to the main battery lug on the starter,this should spin the motor.no, replace starter solenoid
2) locate slave, using a jumper from the battery, touch the small yel/red lead, starter should operate.No, replace slave
3) check ,remove, clean both main battery cable ends where they connect, especiall the neg block one."

Did a quick check under the co

Did a quick check under the cover this AM. Is the slave solenoid located on top of the engine (left) immediately adjacent the red circuit breaker button?
