"Alarm is driven by various sensors. Obviously the WT is in play due to the over heating but as mentioned the engine OP and in same cases the gear case oil level can drive the alarm horn. There is a separate OP sending unit adjacent to the OF and in my experience it often fails, The OP sending unit that feeds the gauge does not drive the alarm circuit."

"OP = Oil Pressure. In addition to the sensor that drives the gauge on the dash, there is a switch. Usually located next to the
OF= Oil filter, if its not remoted. If it is remoted, then its on the block near where the filter would be if it wasn't remoted.
WT=Water temp."
