"Help!

I have a 1988 Ebbtide with a 2.3 liter Omc Ford four-banger. She cranks and runs, however, when I get in the throttle (around 3000 rpms) it will either hold there of act like it wants to die. It won't go into the higher rpms. I installed a new carb, choke, points, condenser, plugs, wires, timing, and fuel filter. I also replaced the line from the fuel tank to the fuel filter, but it has one of those rubber hand priming bulb on it, Could this be the problem?

Would be grateful for any suggestions on what the problem might be!!!

Thanks."

"Never heard of an I/O with a primer bulb? I would remove it, shouldn't need it and someone has probably put it on as a band aid. You need to check your anti syphon valve (usually the 90 deg fitting coming out of the tank where the fuel line attaches, could be dirty and restrictive, also the piece of hose going into the tank from the AS valve, some have screens on them and collect crap again restricting fuel flow, also make sure your tank vent line is clear and little critters haven't plugged it up."
