EFI 155 Loss of Power out of the Hole

"I Have a 06 merc 115 4 stroke

"I Have a 06 merc 115 4 stroke EFI C/w 18 pitch 3 blade stainless steel on 17ft bow rider, just recently it takes a long time getting up on plane, seems like loss of power. I noticed if I pull the throttle back and then push it forward there is a spurt of power for half a second. Was wondering if this a fuel issue. I have tried a higher octane fuel and changed fuel filter any suggestions are appreciated"

"4 stroke - so have you changed the oil/filter recently, replaced the plugs? always run new gas? ever had it in to have the valves adjusted since new (should be done in year 2 or 3).

There are lot's of sensors that the computer uses to make this model run and there is no way to trouble shoot them "at home" - you may need to get into Merc to have them run a diagnostic...."
