"I know nothing about the twin crusader 350's and maintenance other than perusing this great forum.

Am looking a larger boat with twin crusaders

950 hours on each engine

Before I spend money on a survey and flight to see the boat, how can I tell if it is FWC.

On my old little 21 footer, it looked like a radiator. Of the two folks I talked to (it's repo) one said it is FWC and one said it isn't.

What do I look for in the pics to verify?

Also, I can find info on new engines if there are real bad issues with these, but can not find anything on rebuild cost estimates. Whats a good budgeting figure to rebuild (if necessary)."

Thanks Diver. I finally found a pic of another engine that shows it.

Tried to post a pic but it isn't working. Too large I guess.

I sent the broker a message asking for verification.

Any idea what having someone add FWC would cost?

Thanks again for the quick response.

"Unless that is a brand new/ rebuilt motor, the rust particles that will come out of that motor would plug the exchanger in short order. It's been done, but those who've tried it have gone through hell before the rust stopped stopping up their exchanger.
