Recommended timing for the 327

Recommended timing for the 327 ci.in. is "0" for 92 octane. What should be the timing for a 87 octane rating?

"5 deg. DTC. I just set my engine to this and unhooked the vacuum advance. This was suggested to me by a Lyman guru and master mechanic in the Port Clinton, Oh area. I run 89 octane and add lead additive and octane boost."

"I set my 327 timing at "0" after the rebuild. Using 87 octane and have not had any problems, no pinging or backfiring even in the 4000+ rpm range after two years and many hours. Normal crusing around 2500 rpm and it purrs."
