"I was given a Johnson 9.9 with 100:1 auto mix tank that hasn't been used in a few (3or4) years and am getting ready to get it running. Any info on the auto mix tank system such as oil types, reliablity of the system, things to look for, ect. would be very helpful.

Get a 'normal' tank and mix 2% (1:50). The 1% (1:100) recommendation was very short lived, and so was a lot of the engines running on it."
